St. Paul de Vence, no wait, this is Vence

St. Paul de Vence, or just St. Paul is a little town up on the hills just around 17km from Antibes. Without a car, however, you’ll need to take a train to Cagnes-sur-Mer first, then a bus to get there. Since we didn’t exactly know where to go, we ended up in Vence first, which is a little bit further away. It had a small old city and a nice view, so we hung out for a while and had lunch before heading out back to where we originally wanted to go.

St. Paul is full of galleries and small shops, and according to Wikipedia medium sized villas on a prime location would cost from 2 to 5 million euros, which I wouldn’t have expected. The boutique owners here really seem to be sales oriented people. We had an olive oil tasting experience with all kinds of oils from mature to young, flavored and unflavored. Consensus was that the one with basil flavor was the best.

I love how it, again, is NYC style.

So, how much do the big villas cost? And more importantly, will you be able to purchase one within a week or two? 😀
