Shotluck

Potlucks are parties where everyone brings food and drinks to share to others. In the shot version–as you can probably guess–people bring various kinds of alcoholic shots. I figured this was my time to shine as the Finnish always excel in the liquor department, and I made my own batch of fisu (slang for fish in Finnish), which is Fisherman’s Friends dissolved into vodka.
Initially I thought no one would like my offerings it and I’d have to drink the whole thing with the other Finnish dude, but turns out it was a hit! I had to pour down the shots sparingly and still the bottle was empty in no time. Other people brought tequila and some girly drinks that were good, but really sweet. Shotluck’s a cool concept that I might try to organize back home one day too.
My recipe for fisu was:
- 0,75l Vodka
- 4 25g bags of Fisherman’s Friends
It takes a few hours for the candies to dissolve into the liquid.
